JOLTS Experimental State Estimates

The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) program produces experimental estimates for all 50 States and the District of Columbia at the total nonfarm level on job openings, hires, and separations.

Next Release

  • JOLTS experimental state data through March 2021, scheduled for release in June 2021, will be the last state estimates quarterly release (2021 Quarter 1). In October 2021, JOLTS will begin officially publishing a monthly state estimates news release and providing state data in the JOLTS LABSTAT database. The June 2021 state release will include:
    • incorporation of annual benchmark revisions
    • introduction of seasonal adjustment
    • reconfiguration of state outputs to the actual monthly values rather than 3-month moving averages
